Tis the Season

Travel back in time and experience the enchantment of a 19th-century Christmas at Old Economy Village. On December 7th and 8th, witness the village come alive with the glow of candlelit cobblestone streets and historic buildings, creating a festive winter wonderland reminiscent of yesteryear, complete with period demonstrations and local choirs performing holiday carols.

 

Kickstart your holiday shopping with distinctive handmade gifts offered by skilled artisans, and delight your children with a variety of crafts, activities, and an encounter with Belsnickel, Santa's Pennsylvania Dutch counterpart. Enjoy a special holiday train display at our visitor's Center with Fort Pitt Hi-Railers  A selection of food will be available for purchase.

Model Train Display with Fort Pitt Hi-Railers

The trains are a coming!!!! Celebrate the season with trains! The Fort Pitt Hi-Railers will be running their model trains in their display at the Old Economy Visitor’s Center Friday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and during our Christmas at the Village event Saturday and Sunday!! Stop by and learn more about tinplate toy trains!
