Festival of Trees and Deck the Paws at Old Economy Village
Celebrate the season with creativity, community, and holiday cheer!
Festival of Trees
​Old Economy Village's Festival of Trees is an annual community event celebrating creativity, holiday spirit and generosity. We invite local businesses, community organizations, families and social groups to sponsor, provide decorations and assemble themed, faux trees that will be displayed in our various heritage buildings for the enjoyment of over 2,000 visitors who will join us for Christmas at the Village on December 6 & 7, 2025. And new this year -- our visitors will be voting for their favorite tree.

Registration to sponsor a tree ends on November 15 and you will have from November 1 - 20 during business hours to decorate your tree. Early registrants may be able to select the location for their tree and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Trees will be displayed in public areas in the Feast Hall, Granary, Rapp House, Baker House, Mechanics Building, Store Building and Community Kitchen.

Your sponsorship includes:

6 or 7-foot tall tree to decorate along with your name, business logo or other message displayed next to your tree

6 complimentary admission tickets to Christmas at the Village (valued at $60)

Invitations for up to 6 of your friends, family or coworkers to the sponsors-only preview night wine and cheese party on November 21

Recognition in social media and printed materials, including on Old Economy Village's website

Follow the link below to complete the online Festival of Trees Registration Form, including the electronic payment on the check-out screen. (No refunds for cancellations.)

Trees will be publicly displayed from November 22 - December 22, with your group removing and packing your decorations any time from January 5-31.
You will be able to store your decorations at your business or home in the hopes that you'll sponsor a tree again next year.

Deck the Paws
A New Holiday Tradition
This holiday season, Old Economy Village is going wild in the most charming way possible. We're introducing Deck the Paws, a heartwarming sponsorship campaign where you can support a taxidermy animal that is part of our historic collection and help preserve its story, beauty and educational value. Your support helps to maintain and showcase our collection and is a holiday gift that gives back to history, to curiosity and to community.

Whether it’s a fox in a festive scarf, a rabbit in a Santa cape or a squirrel dressed as an elf, each specimen is part of a curated collection that blends natural history with holiday cheer.

As part of your generous sponsorship, you will receive: recognition both on-site at the exhibit and across Old Economy Village’s social media platforms. 6 complimentary admission tickets to Christmas at the Village (valued at $60). Invitations for up to 6 of your friends, family or coworkers to the sponsors-only preview night wine and cheese party on November 21. Additionally, depending on your sponsorship level and the timing of your registration, you may have the opportunity to help select your sponsored animal and provide input on its holiday costume and accessories. ​

Registration to participate in Deck the Paws ends on November 14th and our staff will prepare the displays for public viewing from November 21 - December 28, 2025 and during this time, visitors will be able to participate in our Vote Fur the Favorite contest.
