Homeschool Days

Old Economy Village's Homeschool days invite families to experience a variety of hands-on activities connected to season 4 times a year! Explore the village at a special educational rate of $5 per child and per parent or guardian.

Old Economy Village's Homeschool Days feature special activities that have been designed with homeschool students and homeschooling families in mind. Bring a picnic lunch and plan to spend the whole day at Old Economy Village!

Upcoming Homeschool Days

 

Hands-on Harvest Home School Day is Friday, October 11, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Explore the “Village” and learn about the fall harvest. Experience the tasks that the Harmonists performed to prepare for the coming winter. The buildings will be open for families to explore and tour throughout the day. There will be a variety of hands-on activities and demonstrations that will teach both adults and kids alike about life in the 1830s.

 

Hands-on Holiday Home School Day is Friday, December 13, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Experience the “Village” in all its holiday splendor while learning about life in the 1830s. Enjoy holiday stories and themed activities as well as a chance to meet Belsnickel, the German keeper of the Naughty and Nice book. The buildings will be decorated and open for families to explore and tour throughout the day. There will be a variety of demonstrations and holiday hands-on activities throughout the village for families to see and do.

 

$5 per child and adult. At least 1 adult is required for each family or group.
